Windows 95 Dial-Up Installation
Follow
these instructions step by step to ensure a correctly setup connection.
1. First, open My
Computer on the Desktop
2. From there, open Dial up Networking
3. Open Make New Connection.
4. In the Name field, type Net-Port
5. Click Next
6. In this field, type one of the following dial-in Numbers:

7. Click Next
8. Click Finish
9. Right Click Net-Port, and select Properties.
10. Uncheck the "Dial using area code..." check
box
11. Click the Server Types tab at the top
12. Uncheck the following:
Log onto Net-Work
NETBEUI
IPX/SPX
13. Click OK at the bottom
14. Right Click on the Net-Port icon, and select "Create
Shortcut"
15. A window will pop asking if you wish to place the icon on
the desktop,
tell this Yes.
Congratulations! You have made the connection to the Internet.
To access the internet, open the shortcut on the desktop to Net-Port
and press connect. This will make the connection to Net-Port. After
the modem is done making all of handshaking "noises", you
can access the internet through the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop,
or in the Start Menu.
